DELAWARE — Terri A. Sears, 47, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly from Marengo, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 10, 2010, at the home of her parents after a brave six-year battle with leukemia.

Terri was born July 3, 1963, to Richard Jr. and Carolyn Sears, and graduated in 1981 from Highland High School and Tri-Rivers Joint Vocational School with Business/Office Education. She briefly attended OSU prior to working for many years as a bank teller for National City Bank in Delaware.

Terri was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Olive Steele, Richard Sears Sr., Carl “Peanut” Barber; uncle, Norman Sears; and aunt, Lois Martin.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Tyler Poulton, who was always her pride and joy. Others surviving are her loving parents, Richard Jr. and Carolyn Sears; sisters, Shelby (Donald) Emerson, Cindy (Paul) Goulker; niece and nephews, Elizabeth, Eyan and Eren Emerson; grandmother, Pearl Barber; and Christopher’s father, Jack Poulton. She is also survived by many caring aunts, uncles, cousins and close high school friends.

A memorial service is being planned for early January and details will follow on Facebook on Terri’s memorial page, where condolences can also be sent. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Terri’s name.
