MOUNT VERNON — Jeanne Elizabeth (Wright) Kenney, 86, of Mount Vernon and Sanford, Fla., died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at the Heritage of Lake Forest, Sanford, Fla., after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Springfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Wright and the late Ruth Hart Wright.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Francis W. Kenney; a daughter, Mary Beth Czech (Dave) of Sanford, Fla.; sister-in-law, Mary Margaret Roberts (Buddy); and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death this year by two sisters-in-law, Rose Cyr (Kenney), Ann Hill (Kenney); and two nephews, Keith Moody and Mike Roberts.
She worked for the American Lung Association for 21 years, retiring as branch manager and was a member of the Soroptimist Club, Four Seasons Garden Club, League of Women Voters and a volunteer for the Knox Community Hospital.
A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in Springfield, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and the Knox County Animal Shelter.
