CLEVELAND — Ernest L. “Ernie” Hall, 98, of Hambden Township passed away Dec. 24, 2010, at Metro General Hospital, Cleveland.

He was born Oct. 14, 1912, in Mount Vernon. He was farm manager for Kaufman Farms in Auburn Township for 25 years. After his retirement he worked for Lake Metro Parks.

He is survived by daughter, Barbara (Ronald) Vopicka; sons, R. Tom Hall and Dwight (Christie) Hall; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Simms of Mount Vernon; brother, Robert Hall Jr.

Preceded in death by his wife, Eva (Blair) Hall; sister, Beverly McElravy; sons, Ernest Lee Hall Jr. and Gerald Henry Hall; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with Pastor Aaron Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
