WESTERVILLE — Lois L. Hammond, 82, of Westerville, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at home.

She was born in Meigs County on Jan. 31, 1928, the daughter of the late Ruth (Bowen) Sharp. She worked in the office of Mathis Moving & Storage Co.

She is survived by children, David (Shirley) Hammond, Freda (David) Cole and Sharon Miller; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her mother and Aunt Anna Halliday, her second mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Warren; and three brothers, Dale, Gerald and E.K. Sharp.

Friends may call Thursday 4-7 p.m., with Eastern Star Services at 7 p.m., at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where a service celebrating her life will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jon Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
