MOUNT VERNON — Howard Robinson, 89, of Mount Vernon, passed away Jan. 1, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 21, 1921, in Parkersburg, W.Va. to the late Harold and Mabel (Stinespring) Robinson. Howard was a member of The Salvation Army.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mary Sapp; niece, Joyce (Warren) Kuhn of Mount Vernon; granddaughter, Debbie Logan of Grove City; sister, Betty Dean of North Carolina; six stepchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; numerous stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Howard was preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton and Carol Robinson; two sisters, Edna Steward and Wanda Goodwin.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. Graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg.
