MOUNT VERNON — Janet D. Luebke, 77, of Mount Vernon, passed away Jan. 8, 2011, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 3, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late John and Vandella (Verkins) Novak. Janet retired from the Mount Vernon Wal-Mart in 2007 after 10 years of service as a greeter.

She is survived by her sons, Scott (Debbie) Luebke of Richmond, Ky., and Lee (Karen) Luebke of Mount Vernon, a sister, Carolyn Knuth of Waterford, Wis..; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Eddy Luebke, in 1996; a brother, Eugene Nowak; two sisters, Jean Bodien and Phyllis Hintz.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral arrangements for the Luebke family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Janet’s name to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
