DAVIDSON, N.C. — Carole Renee Carpenter Everhart, 51, of Davidson, N.C., formerly of Coshocton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, in Lake Norman Regional Hospital in Mooresville, N.C.

She was born Aug. 16, 1959, in Portsmith, Va. She was an Optical Technician for Carolina Eye Care in Cornelius, N.C.; formerly employed at ProCare Vision Center in Coshocton. She also had been the scorekeeper for many years at the Muskingum Speedway in Zanesville.

Carole is survived by her two sons, Donnie S. Everhart of Cramerton, N.C., and Christopher R. Everhart of Cornelius, N.C.; their father, Don Everhart of Huntersville, N.C.; by her mother, Irene Williams Krall of West Lafayette; her father, John L. (Pat) Carpenter of Mount Vernon; grandmother, Genola Carpenter, Columbia, S.C.; her siblings, Scott (Donna) Carpenter of Westerville, Cathy (Don) Saylor of Coshocton and Cheryl (Barry) Whitt of Ashland; four nephews and one niece; and stepbrother, Joel (Lucy) Durbin of Knightsdale, N.C.

Visitation for Carole will be Thursday, Jan. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene, 1058 Orange St., Coshocton, and again one hour prior to her funeral services at the church. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the church on Friday, Jan. 14, with Pastor Don Lain and Rev. Barry Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton Memory Gardens.
