NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Dorothy Jane “Dot” Spencer, 83, of North Fort Myers, Fla., passed away, Dec. 8, 2010.
Dot was born Sept. 30, 1927, in Bellville to Glenn P. and Doris (Saul) Freeman and graduated from Bellville High School in 1945. During her life Dot also resided in Fredericktown and Wichita Falls, Texas. She loved children, nature, animals, music, singing and a good joke.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne (George) Scudder of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and Barbara (Matthew) Morrisey of Dayton; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Linda Freeman of Lexington; brother-in-law, Russell Miller of Galion; sisters-in-law, Lena Mae and Judy Freeman, both of Bellville; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Spencer; sisters, Ruth Snavely and Helen Miller; and brothers, John and Truman Freeman.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home.
