DELAWARE — Floyd E. Levings Sr., 80, of Delaware, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Arbors of Delaware.

He was born in Delaware on March 20, 1930, to the late Ernest and Bessie (Brush) Levings. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict, he worked for Ohio Steel and Fabrication.

Survived by his seven sons, Floyd Jr. (Lee), Jeff (Diane), Roger (Kathy), Chris, Wayne, David (Jodi), Paul (Melissa); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Richard; sisters, Barbara Borham, Mary Mitchell, Donna and Maxine Levings, Ethel Shoaf.

Preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Mildred (Covrett); two brothers; and two sisters.

Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Friends may also call one hour prior to the funeral.
