BROOK PARK — Ann (nee Gall) Sluberski Wood Cznadel, 94, of Brook Park, Ohio, went to her heavenly home on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011.
She was born in Brunswick, Ohio, May 24, 1916, to the late Charles and Anna Gall. Ann lived in Cuyahoga County for over 40 years prior to moving to Danville, where she resided until 2003 when she moved to Brook Park. Ann was a proud mother having worked cleaning homes to put four kids through college. She was a former member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Independence, and recently a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Cleveland. Ann enjoyed traveling the United States as well overseas travel to Germany, Austria, Russia and Spain to name a few. She loved to work in her flower garden and was well know for her stuffed cabbages and apple pies.

Survived by her children, the Rev. Dr. Thomas Sluberski, son of the late Walter Sluberski; Nancy Lee Wood Cznadel Plouse Hixson Bleifus (deceased), daughter of the late Edward Wood; Linda Cznadel Hauck and Gregory Cznadel, children of the late Ted Cznadel. Also surviving are son-in-law, David Bleifus; grandchildren, Christopher Daniel Hixson (partner Mitchell Kahan), and Matthew Allan Hauck; and brothers, Walter and Arthur Gall.
Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, William, Fred and Elmer Gall, Gertrude Tibbitts, Elsie Yarmish and Margaret Ellis.
Funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Valley City, with the Rev. Dennis Murawski officiating. Burial will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brinkhaven Cemetery, Danville.
Memorials suggested if desired may be made to St. James Lutheran Church or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
