UTICA — The family of Betty L. Wessinger, 84, of Utica, will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.

Betty died Feb. 5, 2011, at Licking Memorial Hospital Selma Markowitz Unit, Newark. She was born Oct. 29, 1926, in Homer to the late Benedict and Maggie Favel (Spicer) Young. Betty enjoyed Utica Senior Citizens and was a caregiver all of her life.

She is survived by her son, John Wessinger of St. Louisville; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Carl Sharp of Chillicothe, Judy and Rhudy Galbraith of Astatula, Fla., and Helen and Neal Schenz of Buchtel; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Clarence Young; and a sister, Helen Smith.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O., Box 430, Newark, OH 43058-0430.

Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, is assisting the family with arrangements. Visit to extend condolences to the family.
