ARLINGTON, Texas — Charles “Bennie” Knox, 66, a retired assembler, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011.

Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Arlington Baptist Church. Burial will be in Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

He was born Aug. 22, 1944, in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. He worked many years building printing presses in several countries, and worked 10 years for High Voltage Supply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Knox Sr. and Mary L. (Kearns) Knox of Mount Vernon, Ohio; and sisters, Janet and Marylou Knox.

Survivors are his wife of 23 years, Karen (Morris) Knox; stepson, Marc Nichol; father-in-law, Al Morris; brother-in-law, Greg Morris (Carolyn) of Arlington; sister, Patricia Knox McFarland (Charles) of Butler, Ohio; nieces, Cathy Whirl (Dave) and Teresa Teet (Glen), Mary McFarland and Michelle Morris; nephew, Chris Morris; great-nephews, Billy, Austin, Brandon and Ethan; and aunts, Peggy Hemstreet of Phoenix, Ariz., and Yvonne Bechtel of Mansfield, Ohio.

The Davis Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
