MANSFIELD — David S. Clark, 86, of Mansfield died Feb. 19, 2011.
He was born David Starr Clark on March 23, 1924, in Warren, Pa., to Albert and Edna (Babcock) Clark. In 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force; and was honorably discharged as sergeant in 1946. He enrolled at Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Okla. He came to Mansfield in 1952 to accept a position as mechanic and charter pilot with Richland Aviation. In 1956, he started working with General Motors, retiring in 1990. Also in 1956, he married Dorla Wagner, who preceded him on Oct. 14, 2003.
Surviving are son, Stephen (Nongluk) Clark; daughter, Susan (Charles) Gillis; son, Bruce Clark; grandson, Rob Clark.
