MANSFIELD — Max Leroy Garverick, 66, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Mifflin Care Center.
Born May 8, 1944, in Mansfield, he was the son of Maurice and Ada Garverick. After serving with the Navy during the Vietnam War, Max went on to work as an electronics technician at the TV House. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 336, Owls Home, AMVETS Post 31, and VFW Post 3494. He was a very intelligent man with a great sense of humor. There wasn’t anything Max couldn’t fix and was always working to repair something.
He is survived by his BFF of 25 years, Lynn Burford of Mansfield; daughter, Jennifer Sonsalla; grandchildren, Jason Garverick, Alexandria Pabst and Danika Pabst; and sister, Lana Sluss of Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at Union Grove Cemetery outside of Gambier on Ohio 229.
