TUCSON, Ariz. — Clare Elizabeth (Hennel) Humphrey born June 29, 1916, died Feb. 14, 2011.

On Valentine’s Day, Clare Humphrey, 94, was re-united with her husband in heaven, Albert. Born in Austria, she immigrated to America in 1920 with her parents and brother. They settled in Cleveland and there she met the love of her life and was married in 1939. Clare was a woman of energy, humor and dedicated to her family. She was the very definition of motherhood, always offering cookies to visitors, ensuring the comfort of those around her, and protecting her loved ones. She was Albert’s constant companion as both a wife and chiropractic assistant. Together, they enjoyed life to the fullest.

Clare is survived by her children, Elaine Wilden of Ohio, and James Humphrey and daughter-in-law, Jane, of Tucson; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of her life will be held with family in Tucson, Ariz.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements handled by U OF A WILL BODY.
