CENTERBURG — Paul Huffman, 86, of Centerburg, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Grady Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 12, 1924, in Columbus to the late Pearle and Bertha (Edwards) Huffman. A horseman all his life, Paul enjoyed a passion for Quarter horses. He worked as a fireman for the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired as a plumber from Riverside Hospital.

Survived by wife, Mary (Strahm) Huffman; children, Marlene (Tom) Heston, Stephen (Faye) Huffman, Dan (Cathy) Huffman; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; foster daughters, April Brady and Shirley Mostert; nieces, and nephews.

Preceded in death by son, Kim; daughter, Debra; and sisters, Mildred McClain and Leota Edwards.

Friends may call today 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. (OES services at 8 p.m.) at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. with friend Ernie Moreland officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
