MANSFIELD — Theodore R. “Ted” DeVinney, 73, died March 1, 2011, at Mansfield MedCentral.

Born Feb. 11, 1938, in Mansfield, to the late Margaret B. (Kelly) and Gillis A. DeVinney. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Ted retired from Empire Detroit after 32 years, and then worked for Lexington Concrete.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Haire DeVinney; daughter, Tonda Lipscomb; son, Erik DeVinney; four grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara J. Lennington of Mount Vernon, Brenda J. Snyder, Susan K. Rinehart; brother, Ken DeVinney; and numerous nieces, nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law, Reatha Heston Haire.

Friends may visit Friday, 6-8 p.m., at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, and Saturday, one hour prior to 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Military honors by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Interment will be in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. Full obituary and guest registry at
