SUNBURY — Lawrence N. Penn, 96, of Sunbury, died Friday, March 4, 2011.

He was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Jerome to the late Robert L. and Effie L. (Chambers) Penn. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Survived by wife, Rose (Aichele) Penn; sons, Lynn Penn, Don Penn; daughters, Norene Redmond, Norma Issacs, Nancy Ellers, Nina Litzinger; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; brothers, Albert, Elmer, David; sisters, Ruth Stevens, Martha Jones, Lillian Weaver.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Mae (Dooley) Penn; sister, Hazel Hornsby; son-in-law, Roger Eller.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Delaware Bible Holiness Church, 380 N. Union St., Delaware, with Pastor Aaron Hamilton officiating. Interment in Butter Cemetery.
