NEWARK — Funeral service for Robert Edward Bonham, 77, of Newark, and formerly of Mount Vernon, will be held at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, on Thursday, March 17, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dave Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery.

Robert died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 14, 2011. He was born in Newark on Feb. 14, 1934, to the late Clarence D. Bonham and Grace L. (Riley) Bonham Huffman. Robert was retired from Kenyon College where he worked for 36 years in the Maintenance Department.

Robert is survived by his sister, Mary Hottinger, of the home; his half sister, Linda Morgan of Newark; his sisters-in-law, Judith Bonham of Mount Vernon and Rosa Bonham of Oxford, Ala.; his stepmother, Kathryn (Warner) Bonham Van Camp of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, William Ray, Richard and Edwin Bonham; and his stepfather, Elmer Huffman.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home Thursday, March 17, from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the funeral service.
