MOUNT VERNON — Corinne C. Palmer, 84, of Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

She was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Bellefontaine, daughter of the late Elwood and Florence (Johnson) Castle. Corinne enjoyed knitting, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a Methodist by faith.

Corinne is survived by her children, Timothy E. Cozad of Brockport, N.Y., Rebecca Gribley of Vacaville, Calif., and Daniel G. Palmer of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today from noon until the time of a memorial service celebrating the life of Corinne at 1 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, with the Rev. Jerry Bell officiating.
