LEXINGTON — Walter M. Meadows, 89, of Lexington died March 24, 2011, in MedCentral at Mansfield.

Walter was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Morral, Ohio, to Frank and Minnie (Neal) Meadows. A World War II veteran, Walter served in the European and Pacific Theatres. He worked for Dominion Electric and then for Ohio Brass, retiring in 1986.

Surviving are son, Charles (Tracy) Meadows of Mansfield; daughter, Vicki (Kennon) Osbun of Cardington; five grandchildren; and sister, Catherine Altman of Mansfield.

Along with his parents, deceased are his first wife, Elizabeth “Libby” (Mailey) Meadows; second wife, Eleanor (Flutzy) Meadows; twin sons, James and John Meadows; brothers, Wayne and Neal Meadows; sisters, Avonelle Meadows, Irene Moser and Viola Clarkson.

Graveside service will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Lexington Cemetery. Pastor David Smith officiating. Military honors by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. For complete obituary visit
