MOUNT VERNON — Lois L. Kruger, 76, of Mount Vernon, formerly of California, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at the Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon.

Lois was born July 17, 1934, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Charles and Ida May (Wright) Knotts. She moved to Mount Vernon in 2001 from California, and had served as a Foster Grandparent at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. She was a member of the Christian Church of Delaware in Olive Green.

Surviving are her daughter, Karen Dawn (Michael) Thomen of Mount Vernon; sons, Robert Ray (Cheryl) Kruger of California and Gregory Glynn Kruger of Utica; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
