BELLVILLE — June Sleeva Gatton, 92, of Bellville, died Wednesday morning, March 30, 2011, in Lexington Court Care Center after a long illness.

Born Aug. 26, 1918, in Fredericktown to Rex and Marguerite (Speaks) Elben, she remained a lifelong resident of the Fredericktown and Bellville area. June worked at General Industries in Bellville and was a member of Batemantown Methodist Church near Waterford.

Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn (Ray) Ogborn of Shelby and Marilyn (Jerry) Rhodes of Bellville; daughter, Sue Huffman of Bellville; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Doris Gray.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Barnes; brother, Harold Gray; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
