LEXINGTON — Robert E. Weigler, 89, of Lexington, died at home Tuesday, March 29, 2011, following a five-month illness.
He was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Mansfield the son of William J. and Barbara (Mayer) Weigler. Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a machinist for Karma Metal Products.
Survived by his wife of 69 years, Arlene (Ross) Weigler; a daughter, Sheryl (Roger) Kingston; son, Byron (Carolyn) Weigler; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and extended family.
Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Paul Weigler.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 1, at 1 p.m. in Shauck cemetery where military honors will be performed by the Richland County Joint Veteran Burial Detail. Pastor Claude Likins will officiate.
