WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Marion “Jane” Harris, 89, died peacefully in her sleep at 6:15 a.m. on April 1, 2011, in Wheat Ridge, Colo.

She was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Mount Vernon to Samuel and Katherine (Fitz) Blubaugh.

She is survived by a sister, Harriett (Jack) Hamilton of Mount Vernon; daughter, Kathryn Vincent of Keller, Texas; sons, Ken (Rachel) of Lakewood, Colo., and Phil (Barbara) of Pacifica, Calif. She had 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Harris; and a son, James Harris. She will be missed.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, at 10 a.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg with the Rev. Homer Blubaugh officiating. Private interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Bladensburg. All are invited to a noon reception/luncheon at The Alcove, 116 S. Main St., Mount Vernon, to share memories and bid Jane a fond farewell.
