FREDERICKTOWN — Michael W. Carpenter, 52, of Fredericktown, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 2, 1958, in Mansfield to Herbert Carpenter and Shirley (Huffman) Carpenter. Michael owned and operated Carpenter Landscaping and was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed mushroom hunting.
He is survived by his father; two sons, Jason Carpenter of Athens and Tyler Carpenter of Fredericktown; a daughter, Heather Hedrick of Columbus; six grandchildren; four brothers, Gary Carpenter of Fredericktown, Larry Carpenter of Butler, Mark (Serenea) Carpenter of Butler and Jeff (Kim) Carpenter of Fredericktown; and three sisters, Tammy (Bob) Wells of Butler, Rhonda (Dana) Beheler of Fredericktown and Jody (Dave) Whited of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, where a funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Richard Prater will be officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
