LEXINGTON — Robert L. Meservey, 83, of Lexington, died Friday, April 1, 2011, in his home following a brief illness.

He was born May 21, 1927, in Lancaster, N.H., to Lester and Louise (Berry) Meservey. Bob enlisted in the Navy and served three years during World War II. On Sept. 25, 1970, he married Sharlene F. Aninos. She preceded him in death in 2004.

Survived by sons, Jeffrey Meservey, Marc Meservey, Claude Meservey, René Meservey and Gary Meservey; daughters, Krista DeMarinis and Linda Dunn; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Meservey; stepbrothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastor Jim Berry will officiate, burial with military honors conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans burial detail will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
