BELLVILLE — F. Wilmer “Will” Wharton, 95, died April 10, 2011.
Wilmer was born April 9, 1916, in Mansfield, to Forrest and Ethelyn (Meek) Wharton. During World War II, he served in the Army. Will retired from the former White Whestinghouse in 1975; and operated Will’s Saw Sharpening.
Survived by daughters, Betty L. (Virgil) Sansom and Marcia Kasper; daughter-in-law, Dawn Wharton; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Wharton. Preceded in death by wife, Merva (Norris) Wharton; son, James “Hector” Wharton; grandson, Terry Sansom; great-great-grandson, Brody Thrush; brothers, George Wharton and Ivan Wharton; sisters, Lela Milligan and Eva Wharton.
