MOUNT VERNON — William E. “Bill” Kidd, 75, of Mount Vernon, passed away April 10, 2011, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 21, 1936, in Licking County to Wheeler and Hazel (McLaughlin) Kidd. He was a member of the Grove Church of Christ and a former member of the Oil Gas Association of Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Toby A. (Ray) Kidd; two daughters, Deb Kidd Curran of Mount Vernon, Sandy (Patrick) Kidd-Prestridge of Wadsworth; one brother, Charles (Katie) Kidd of Lake Wales, Fla.; four sisters, Lucille Cline of Heath, Evelyn Mardis of Heath, Virginia Evans of Newark and Shirley (Jim) Guilliams of Newark; five grandchildren, Nick Kidd, Nicole Kidd, Megan Curran, Tyler Curran, Madison Prestridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven E. Kidd; brother-in-laws, Charlie Cline, Jack Mardis and Sonny Evans.

Friends may call at the Bladensburg Church of Christ on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m., where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Minister Victor Slutz officiating. Burial will follow in Bladensburg Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg is handling the funeral arrangements for the Bill E. Kidd family.

My husband, my friend, my love, my Bill. We have been together 56 years. We were high school sweethearts for one year and this coming September 15th we would have been married 55 years. Bill, till we meet again, wait for me.
