BELLVILLE — Erma Belle Showalter, 85, of Poorman Road, Bellville, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, in Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville.

She was born April 20, 1925, in Ankenytown to Chester and Thelma (Burger) Beal, and was graduated from Fredericktown High School. Erma worked for a time with Landon’s Clothing Store in Bellville.

Survivors are sons, Arthur Showalter of Westerville and Gary Showalter of Strongsville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her siblings, Earl Beal of Bellville, Jeanne Armstrong of Fredericktown, Robert Beal of Hilliard; and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth G. Showalter, on May 19, 2006.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Kistler officiating. Burial will follow in Ankenytown Cemetery.
