HOWARD — Olin W. “Junior” Good II, 69, of Howard, formerly of Marietta, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, in his daughter’s home surrounded by all of his family, after a long courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born in Millwood, W.Va., in 1941 as the son of Marjorie V. Good-Elder and Olin W. Good Sr. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie V. Elder; father, Olin W. Good Sr.; a sister, Doris VanFossen (Belpre, Ohio); brother-in-law, Robert Johnson (Mount Vernon); and brother-in-law, Royal Butterbaugh (Butler).

Olin retired locally from Weyerhaeuser after 33 years of employment.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna M. Good; his children, Olin W. (Ramona) Good III of Wooster, Leo B. Good of Howard, Dana L. Good of Howard and Tania M. Goossens of Howard; nine grandchildren, Webster, Kathryn, Brandon, Gabrielle, Preston, Lexie, Emma, Demi and Avery; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Additional surviving family members include stepfather, Ray Elder; brother, Webster L. (Edith) Good of Mount Vernon; brother-in-law, George VanFossen of Belpre; sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson of Mount Vernon; sister-in-law, Barbara Butterbaugh of Centerburg; and a brother-in-law, John Johnson of Parkersburg, W.Va.

Olin’s hobbies included spending time with his children and grandchildren. He always made his grandchildren feel very special. In addition to family, Olin loved his two dogs, Peanut and Midnight.

In observance of Olin’s wishes, there will be a private family service in his honor. The family would like to thank Hospice of Knox County for their unconditional help and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Hospice of Knox County.
