SUNBURY — Ray “Norm” Norman Jr., 86, of Sunbury, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born March 10, 1925, in Akron to the late Ray A. and Hazel (Bradshaw) Norman. A retired manager for Van’s Camera Store in Akron. Member of the Zeppelin Rifle Club in Akron and Adoniram-Joppa Lodge No. 517 F&AM. Norm was an active member of the Westerville Senior Center.
Survived by his daughter, Shirley (Arnold) Maki of Centerburg; son, John (Denise) Norman of Allentown, Pa.; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
Preceded in death by his wife, Joan (DuBois) Norman, on May 21 2004.
Friends may call Wednesday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Graveside services will be Thursday 11 a.m. at the Chapel in the Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44333, with entombment to follow.
