ONTARIO — William “Bill” Thurber, 77, died April 15, 2011, at the James Cancer Center in Columbus.
Born Sept. 2, 1933, in Doylestown, Wis., the son of John D. and Zelda (Pogue) Thurber, he took his Bible studies at Tennessee Temple University, and earned his graduate of theology. He served four years with the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret “Greta” (Hughes) Thurber; their children, Bill Thurber Jr., Becky Sipe, Bob Thurber and Joy Bowman; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous siblings, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Thurber; and sister, Joyce Chesser.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Ontario Christian Fellowship, 636 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A worship service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the church.
