LEXINGTON — Paul Edward DeLong, 88, died April 17, 2011, in Country Meadow Care Center.

He was born to Earl and Glenna (Beeman) DeLong on Oct. 21, 1922, in Butler. A longtime farmer in Morrow County, he retired from General Motors after 29 years.

Survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth (Charles) DeLong; son, Paul E. Delong Jr.; two daughters, Mary Ann DeLong and Margie DeLong; four granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Clifford DeLong; sister-in-law, Dorothy DeLong.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his five brothers, Jay, Donald, Frederick, Raymond and Dale DeLong.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 20, from 5-7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m., where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor Chris Radio will officiate, assisted by Pastor Mike Cloud. Burial will follow in Zion Four Corners Cemetery.
