MOUNT VERNON — Myrtle Marie Bostic, 91, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011, at the Country Club Retirement Campus.

She was born Oct. 12, 1919, in Buchanan, Va., to the late James and Nancy Jane (Sisk) Blankenship. Myrtle was a member of the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Fred) Wright of Florida, Jane (Rick) Henthorn of Mount Vernon; two sons, Daniel (Vicki) Bostic of Arkansas, James (Peggy) Bostic of Fredericktown; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Besides her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bostic; a granddaughter, Valerie (Wright) Goodwin; a great-grandson, Christopher Cimaglia; and 13 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call today, April 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where a service will be held Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Russ Gumm officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg.
