MANSFIELD — Jean Albert, 84, died Thursday, April 21, 2011, in Oak Grove Manor.

Born Neila Jean Bechtel in Mount Vernon on Oct. 16, 1926, she was the daughter of Andrew and Ila (Craven) Bechtel. Jean worked with the Shelby Depot, as office manager of Goldsmith’s Clothiers, and retired from G&L Supply.

Surviving are son, Danny (Etta) Louise Albert of Mansfield; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; sister-in-law, Betty Bechtel; stepgranddaughter; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-great-granddaughter.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles; sister, Helen Joyce Frontz; her brother, Lewis W. “Jack” Bechtel; and her sister- and brother-in-law, Delight “Patricia” and Roland Poth.

Friends can call Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
