MOUNT VERNON — MSgt. Theodore R. McCament, 85, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Knox Community Hospital.

He was born Dec. 24, 1925, in Knox County to the late Harl and Faye (Pumphrey) McCament. Mr. McCament retired after 20 years of service with the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, both in Mount Vernon.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dwight McCament, Kenneth McCament, Carroll McCament and Eugene “Gene” McCament; and five sisters, Kathleen Dowds, Elizabeth Wolford, Thelma Frost, Frances McCament and Nellie Booth.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 28, at 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force will be held in Arlington National Cemetery.
