BELLVILLE — Thomas Elwood Lehman, 79, died Sunday, April 24, 2011, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.

Born July 7, 1931, in Shelby to Maurice and Ada (Wolfe) Lehman, he graduated from Shelby High School and served with the U.S. Naval Reserves for eight years during the Korean War.

Survived by his wife, Patricia (Balliett) Crupper Lehman; daughters, Kim Bender and Terri Haas; several stepchildren; numerous grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; sister, Maureen King; brother, Lynn Lehman; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a previous wife, Anna Joleen Lehman; brother, Richard Dean Lehman; sister, Jacquelyn Gamble; sister-in-law, Jean Lehman; a stepson and stepgrandchild.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Jim Berry will officiate. Private interment in Oakland Cemetery, Shelby.
