MANSFIELD — Edith Mae Lowe, 89, of rural Mansfield, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, in Morrow Manor of Chesterville.
She was born Feb. 6, 1922, in Delaware to Ernest and Carrie (Cornell) Jaynes. A homemaker, Edith enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Survived by her children, Robert (Paulette) Jaynes of Lexington, Sandra (Buck) Carte of Mount Gilead and Connie (Lito) Ramirez of Texas; stepsons, Michael Lowe and Randall (Teresa) Lowe; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Miller; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Aut Lowe; a son, Ronald Eckstein; siblings, Earl, Ernie, Ray and Carl Jaynes, Marie Perkins and Betty Wilt.
Family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park. Chaplain Dennis Barnhart will officiate.
