FREDERICKTOWN — Shirley Ann Connors, 77, of Fredericktown, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011, at The Ohio Eastern Star Home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Mount Vernon and was the daughter of the late Philip T. and Rose K. (Swingle) Edwards. Shirley was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a former STNA for Heartland of Centerburg Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Rinehart of Fredericktown and Carol (Preston) Mackell of Bucyrus; a brother, Phillip D. (Beverly) Edwards of Fredericktown; four grandchildren, Jim M. (Dawn) Miller, Steve (Melissa) Rinehart and Chris Rinehart, all of Fredericktown, and Heather Link of Columbus; and five great-grandchildren, Dylan Miller, Bryce Duncan, Alexandria Link, Gabbie Miller and Carson Rinehart.

Her husband, John Connors, preceded Shirley in death.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 16, at 3 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Mark Hammond as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral arrangements for the Connors family.
