MOUNT GILEAD — Edna Mast, 91, died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.

Born Edna Marie Swartentruber on June 2, 1919, near Hartville, daughter of Mose and Katie (Miller) Swartentruber, she was a member of Morrow County Farm Bureau and Gilead Mennonite Church.

Survived by her husband, Elmer “Pete” Mast; their children, Louella Chapman, Edward Mast, Mervin Mast and Loren Mast; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Alma Mullet, Erma Kropt, Esther Mayer, Katie Stauffer, Melvin Swartzentruber, Paul Swartzentruber; and extended family.

Preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Mast and Mary Gingerich.

Friends may call Tuesday, 4 to 8 p.m., in Gilead Friends Church, 3613 TR 115, Mount Gilead. Service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastors Brian Mosher and Glenn Martin will speak. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chesterville.
