FREDERICKTOWN — Glen D. Willey, 41, of Fredericktown, died Saturday morning, May 21, 2011, in Mount Vernon.
He was born Dec. 24, 1969, in Mount Vernon, a son of the late Peggy (Simpson) Willey of Howard and David Glen Willey of Middletown. Glen graduated from East Knox High School and had just celebrated nine years of dedicated service at United Precast in Mount Vernon. He also worked at Creno’s Pizza in Mount Vernon. Glen was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Pittsburgh Steeler fan He enjoyed cooking on the cooker he built with his Uncle Ron, playing golf, and watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. Glen had great passion for riding his Harley and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his father, David (Marie) Willey, Glen is survived by his daughters, Amber (Chris) Kemmer of Chesterville and Kricket Willey of Howard; a granddaughter, Alissa Butcher; a brother, Duane (Amy) Willey of Danville; a sister, Paula Willey of Howard; his lifelong loving companion, Lisa Hudyk of Fredericktown and her children, Kevin Shannon of Mount Vernon and Colleen Massoth of Muncie, Ind., and her son, Finn; aunts, Sue (Tom) Faith of Mount Vernon, Norma Simpson of Howard and Linda Wolfe of Newark; and uncles, Ron (Kathy) Simpson of Howard and Dan Sherman of Newark.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, May 26, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Howard.
