James D. Jackson
BELLVILLE — James D. Jackson, 87, of Bellville passed away May 24, 2011, in Mansfield MedCentral.
James was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Saltville, Va., the son of James Aaron and Maggie Elizabeth (Sandefer) Jackson. While serving in the European Theater during World War II, James met Betty K. Kohler; they were married Aug. 22, 1945, in Paris, France. The two moved to the Mansfield area in 1952, where he worked for Borg-Worner.
Surviving are daughter, Anne Meyer-Gibson of Coldwater; sons, Dan (Nora) Jackson of Bellville, Gerald Jackson of Sparks, Nev., and Michael (Sylvia) Jackson of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
