SPRINGBORO — Evelyn Margaret Weaver, 101, of Springboro, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011.

She was born July 20, 1909, in West Alexandia. Evelyn graduated from Brookville High School and was a 65-year member of First Baptist Church in Dayton and “the Chatter Club,” a group of high school friends. Evelyn was a strong, caring and social woman who loved her family and home.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Waldo “O” Orville Weaver; good friend, Kenneth Kester; and sister, Eileen Zumbrun.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Philip (Maureen) Weaver; daughter, Karen (Don) Burgess; grandchildren, Beverly (Michael) Haase, Julie (Gerald) Novak, Brett Burgess, Scott (Mary) Burgess, Gregg (Ann) Burgess; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends Saturday, May 28, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, where funeral service will begin at 11:30, with the Rev. Roland Marcus officiating. Burial in Arlington Cemetery in Brookville.
