HOWARD — Jill A. Pejsa, 49, of Cherry Hill Court, Howard, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011, at her home with her family at her side.
She was born May 27, 1961, in Columbus to the late Curtis and Clara (Hickman) Moreland. Jill was a 1978 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School and later received her bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and English from The Ohio State University. She attended the St. Vincent de Paul Church here in Mount Vernon. Jill enjoyed archeological digs here in Ohio and she enjoyed learning about her Native American heritage. But most of all, Jill loved her family and spending time with her grandson.
She is survived by her husband of over 15 years, Joseph Pejsa; her daughter, Ireland Pejsa of Howard; three sons, Tyler (Jessica) Murphy of Newark, Shawn Pejsa of Callahan, Fla., and Scott Pejsa of Callahan, Fla.; her grandson, Noah Murphy; and her sister, Kim Borders of Mount Vernon.
Friends may call Monday, May 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 31, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
