BELLVILLE — Bertin Ousley, 85, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in Triumph Hospital in Mansfield.

Born Dec. 9, 1925, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Elkaney and Martha (Prater) Ousley, he was raised in McArthur. On May 20, 1946, he married Ruth E. Atwood, and shortly thereafter accepted a job with Westinghouse in Mansfield.

Survived by his son, Bertin J. (Kathleen) Ousley; daughters, Sandra (Dale) Pritchard and Joyce Smith; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Ramsey, Pearl Ousley; brother, O.C. Ousley; and extended family.

Preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Shirley Jean Buckler; sister, Gertrude Ousley; and brothers, Herb, Hollie, Wayne and James Ousley.

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Ken Kinley will officiate. Burial in Bellville Cemetery.
