MOUNT VERNON — William T. Rutan, 34, of Mink Street, Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 4, 2011.

He was born July 21, 1976, in Columbus to Michael and Kristina (Lamoreaux) Rutan. William was a 1994 graduate of Centerburg High School. While in high school, William served as a volunteer on the Centerburg Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman and loved to cheer on the Buckeyes.

Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, December (Seeley) Rutan; his daughter, Kaycee Rutan; twin children, Kyle and Kyla Rutan; a sister, Nicole (Randy) Sigwarth; paternal grandmother, Genevieve Williams; nephews, Brandon Etzel and Zach Sigwarth; and a niece, Abigail Etzel.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Thomas Rutan.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, where friends may call two hours prior. Pastor Tom Tucker will be officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg.
