MOUNT VERNON — Adeline “Addie” Goetzman, 93, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Country Club Retirement Campus surrounded by her family.

She was born Nov. 12, 1917, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Roscoe and Phoebe (Dickens) Guthrie. Addie was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. She was an avid Buckeye fan and golfer.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Martha Goetzman of Mount Vernon; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and James Tharp of Columbus; three grandchildren, Kerry (Tammy) Goetzman and Rick (Jody) Goetzman, both of Mount Vernon, and Jomarie (William) Johanson of Greenville, S.C.; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Goetzman; and several sisters.

Friends may call Sunday, June 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 4 p.m., with Pastor Bob Hendrix officiating.
