MANSFIELD — Earl Edward Cross, 76, died July 4, 2011.

Earl was born Oct. 27, 1934, near Palmyra to Howard Taft and Leatha Mae (Singer) Cross. He worked maintaining private facilities in Mansfield at Hawkins Markets, Ashland University, retiring from Calhoun, Kademenos & Heichel; then worked with Hull Veterinary Hospital.

Surviving are wife, Jeannine (Altman) Weber Cross; sons, Rick Cross, David Cross of Mount Vernon, Randy Cross; daughter, Mary Jo Kindler; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Jeff, Joel, Vic, Eric Weber, Valerie Stevens; 10 stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-granddaughters. Preceded by brother, Harold Eugene Cross; and half brothers, Dale, Howard, Dwight Yarman.

Visitation Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Worship service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Berean Baptist Church, 2145 Middle-Bellville Road. The Rev. David Pound officiating. Burial in Mansfield Memorial Park.
