UTICA — A funeral service for James Robert “Doughbelly” Tinon, 67, of Utica, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 10 a.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Bob died July 5, 2011, at his residence. He was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Columbus to the late Mary K. Loar. Bob retired from Owens Corning after 37 1/2 years and from Discover. He loved NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Thelma N. (Angus) Tinon of Utica; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Tina Tinon of Somerset; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Eric Miller of Utica; stepsons, Alan (Teresa) Pierce, Robyn Moran and David Pickens, all of Utica; grandchildren, Miley Tinon, Natosha (Brad) Westbrook, Kiesha Pierce, Neil Pierce, Zac Moran, Krissy Stevens and Sean Pierce; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Taylor, Luke Westbrook, Haylee Whyde, Hayden Stevens, Haddox Stevens and Leah Pierce.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Tinon.

Friends may call Friday, July 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica. Visit to extend condolences to the family.
